Waste management is an important part of Sher Ethiopia’s approach and working method. We try to reuse materials wherever possible. For example, the old plastic covers of greenhouses are cut into pieces and used to carry and protect roses that are harvested in the greenhouses. Moreover, old irrigation pipes are used as posts to protect the rosebeds.
When materials reach the end of their life cycle, we sort them before selling or giving them to interested parties in the local community. Otherwise, they are disposed. In this way we deal sustainably with our materials and products. This allows us to promote sustainability in the region.
All liquid waste is treated through the Wetlands.
